Editing this post to add I realized way back in July I uploaded all of these pictures with the intent to sit down and write prose to go with it. And am just remembering and seeing them. I'm too "beyond the 4th" to be able to write decent prose so I just posted it as is...
But short story is: this is the Wellfleet Parade which I love. We biked to it, which is the way to go b/c parking is hard to find and leaving the parade at the end is a nightmare. I on my huge Xtra was almost stuck in traffic myself as cars and people were so thick it was hard for me to get through easily. But I did and left the masses in the dust. My father in law is the gentleman in orange. He always rides to the parade for as long as I've known him.
Aw we miss Cape Cod this summer... but are too exhausted/lazy to go there this time around and opted for "the other Cape." Enjoy the rest of your summer!
