Party by bike

The local preschool was having a fundraiser party at the yacht club a half a mile down the rode. My cousin and a few friends are involved in this school so I wanted to support it by going to the party. Plus, who could turn down a party being held so close by?

Of course I went by bike. It was a lovely affair and I hope it is the first in many to come over the years.

One funny thing is that the orange bike is already famous. I ran into a woman who sells flowers and greens at the farmer's market and she said she knew I was there because she saw my biked parked out front. I tell you, bikes create community.

I got outbid on the one auction item I wanted- surf lessons and a massage combo. But I enjoyed lovely food donated by all the local restaurants and chatting with friends and relatives and dancing to the live rockabilly band.

A sweet short ride downhill was sea and charcoal scented with the dusk-y sky and sea as my view. A really wonderful night.

  1. I hope that bike is riding even half as sweet as it looks.
